That Berlin has one of the most diverse entertainment scenes in Europe, from clubs and festivals to a whole range of attractions, certainly doesn't need lengthy discussion. What impressed us most during our visit, however, is its green face.
Transport
The bicycle is one of the main means of transport for Berliners, alongside the U-bahn, S-bahn, and car. Truly everyone rides a bike there, and those who don't are just having their bike repaired at the moment. Great respect for cyclists is shown not only by car drivers, but also by pedestrians and city councillors, as Berlin offers 625 km of cycle paths, 80 km of cycle lanes, 70 km of shared lanes for buses and cyclists, 100 km of shared paths for pedestrians and cyclists, 50 km of marked paths on sidewalks, 200 km of two-way passable one-way streets for cyclists, 190 km of paths outside the main traffic area, and 500 km of green paths - Greenways. When will Prague finally take an example from Berlin?
We recommend to everyone who hasn't been to Berlin to take time for a trip and, besides nice experiences, bring some of that greenness back to us in Czechia.
