Twitter bought the blogging service Posterous last spring, on which we operated our company blog. At the end of April, what everyone already knew happened. Posterous ended after about five years of existence, and thus all blogs of its more than 15 million users went definitively silent. Posterous (Twitter) fortunately also offered a rescue solution for transferring active blogs to either Blogger, Squarespace, or WordPress. After our monitoring, the decision was made that WordPress would be the best candidate, and so it happened. Additionally, we bought a new theme from Mythemshop thanks to which we are able to adapt the blog as best as possible to our needs and CID requirements. And what's next with Posterous? Until the end of May 2013, it is still possible to download your own blog backup. Twitter is no longer interested in Posterous, which means its complete end, so if you have an account and want to preserve your links, hurry up. And for those interested in "different" blogging - the founder of Posterous Mr. Ten offers a new blog called Posthaven and promises on his homepage that it will last forever. The service costs 5 USD. red
