As the name suggests, members of the Prácheň Land Trust are trying to restore overgrown and disappeared paths in the landscape around the South Bohemian village of Bořice. Around the restored paths, they also want to create space for sitting, swinging, or playing, so that a more pleasant and quieter walking alternative than the asphalt road can be chosen near the village. The goal of this project is to restore three specific paths around the village of Bořice. The project is part of a longer-term task that the Land Trust has set for itself, i.e., the restoration of paths and greenery around them and the associated restoration of landscape structure and permeability, and an effort to return to the original scale. It follows four years of tree planting along paths, in which the association involved local residents. The actual modifications should take place in July of this year. Local community will be involved in the implementation, which will strengthen the relationship of local residents to the place and landscape where they live. In the future, a kind of bio-corridor could be created around the village, which historically functioned in all these paths (which were partly abolished in the 1960s-80s and partly overgrew on their own).
Which project will receive financial support? This will be decided by Greendata's customers and partners until June 13, 2012. On June 14, 2012, the winning project will be announced.
