(Click for english) The British government agency for trade and investment support UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is expanding its activities to support institutional and private investors from the Czech Republic in the United Kingdom. UKTI traditionally focuses on supporting British companies entering the Czech market, but this new initiative also allows showcasing the best that the United Kingdom can offer in terms of investment opportunities. In order to fully utilize existing experience from the Czech investment environment, UKTI invited the agency A.T. Kearney to cooperate as an investment mediation partner. PRESS RELEASE PDF DOWNLOAD From April 1st, A.T. Kearney provides consultants who will work exclusively on behalf of the British government for the duration of the contract. This step reflects UKTI's efforts to find investors ready to take advantage of opportunities across a wide range of areas, from the latest innovations and green technologies to establishing their new headquarters in the United Kingdom. Some Czech companies are already benefiting from their entry into the British market and are aware of the differences in doing business between the two countries.
For example, Zdeněk Maršál, managing director of the Czech company Greendata providing data center services and internet server hosting, says that customers in the United Kingdom have greater awareness of renewable resources and environmental responsibility that Greendata promotes. "Customers in the United Kingdom appreciate far more the resources invested in 'green' solutions and consider their pros and cons to a greater extent," explains Maršál.
