Dell EMC announced that its 14th generation of the world's best-selling Dell EMC PowerEdge servers is available to customers. And Greenhousing.cz couldn't miss out on this. This new generation, which was recently introduced at the Dell EMC World 2017 conference, forms the foundation of modern data centers, delivers higher performance and is designed to enable customers to realize innovations more consistently and faster, thus achieving goals
in the area of IT transformation. The scalable business architecture of Dell EMC PowerEdge servers helps customers not only effectively meet their changing business needs through higher performance for traditional, virtualized and cloud-native application workloads in software-defined data centers. The new Dell EMC PowerEdge server portfolio also helps them in faster deployment of solution sets for software-defined data storage and hyperconverged infrastructures.
So what are the main advantages of the introduced platform? It is primarily a scalable enterprise architecture optimized for software-defined data centers, which offers up to 12 times higher number of read and write operations per second. Intelligent automation speeds up management by up to 4 times thanks to the iDRAC9 controller and reduces the number of necessary steps during iDRAC controller installation by 30% using the QuickSync 2 solution. The 14th generation Dell EMC PowerEdge servers also brings integrated security that offers a cyber-attack resistant architecture and secure supply chain for comprehensive protection. Last but not least, Dell EMC in collaboration with Intel introduces the Intel Xeon scalable processor series in the 14th generation Dell EMC PowerEdge servers. 27 percent more processor cores and 50 percent higher memory throughput ensures that these servers provide customers with higher performance for essential enterprise applications and application workloads.
Dell EMC PowerEdge R940, R740, R740xd, R640 and C6420 servers are now available worldwide. Dell EMC PowerEdge FC640 and M640 servers will be available later in 2017.
