Server operations became more expensive in 2022 not only due to energy costs, but also operational costs (including hardware prices, labor, etc.). The question often arises now: do I want to go to the cloud? But many customers have now returned from it due to disproportionate costs. And all players like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure have also announced price increases. So what to do next?
From Greendata / DC6, we have decided to prepare an offer for you in the coming months that will correlate with customer requirements.
- HW analysis and replacement options. Do you have old servers? Do you have money for replacement? We will try to offer, together with partners, the possibility of replacing your HW so that it can be paid for from energy savings.
- virtualization - is your server underutilized? We will offer help with virtualization and the possibility of using all server resources, or we will allow the server to be included in the GD portfolio and offer full virtualization and the possibility of operating within hosting or virtual server housing.
- we will prepare and offer a variant of consumption of unbackup and backup power.
Due to fluctuating energy prices, the price per kWh is temporarily set at 6.50 CZK, until the market and energy price levels stabilize. Energy prices are expected to continue to increase, and by then we hope to find a path together to reduce costs while maintaining sustainability.
