DC6.cz is a new facility located in Prague 6, offering a modern way of storing rack servers called Rackhousing (or Rackhosting). It is equipped with standard technologies needed for housing customer servers and IT infrastructure. Its advantage is its exceptional location in the western part of Prague, where it represents an advantageous place for geographical services or separate backups with a short commuting distance from Prague 5, 6 and 7. 
DC6.cz is located in the "Aritma" building in Vokovice, where the state enterprise Aritma Prague operated in the past, which was once among the most productive in terms of the scope of computing equipment production in Czechoslovakia and is connected with Powers GmbH, which founded a parts manufacturing facility and later assembly of columnar punching machines in Prague-Vršovice in 1940. This plant later became a branch of the German Rheinmettal corporation. Between 1945 and 1950, it underwent numerous changes and after nationalization in 1948, it became, starting from January 1, 1950, a state enterprise bearing the Aritma brand. The main headquarters of the enterprise was located in Prague 6 in Vokovice. By 1975, Aritma had delivered to domestic and foreign users from its main product range: 18,000 punch card machines, 220 information processing computers, 1,000 MEDA analog computers and 160 special-purpose analog computers. Since 2015, DC6.cz has been located in part of the building. 
DC6.cz was created in cooperation between the English company Advice Forge Ltd. and Greendata s.r.o. and offers a wide range of Rack housing services to customers including individuals, startups, companies and institutions. Currently, it is also one of the few providers operating in the western part of Prague, where it offers a complete range of data center services. All systems critical to the data center operation are backed up by N+1 system or higher and correspond to TIER III level. The complex is also built in a flood-free area and can currently accommodate up to 2,000 servers with possible expansion up to three times that number. Customers operating in Prague 5, 6, and 7 finally no longer have to commute to data centers on the other side of the Vltava. This reduces their important travel time to servers, thereby increasing their work comfort. Other advantages of DC6.cz are the prices for providing services and their separation. "Companies providing, for example, cloud services can now separate part of their servers and operate them geographically in another part of Prague through DC6.cz. This also increases the resilience of their services in cases where, for example, part of Prague is affected by a widespread power outage, flood or affected by another natural disaster," highlights the advantages Zdeněk Maršál, commercial director of Greendata, which operates DC6.cz. He also points out that DC6.cz is a suitable platform for housing backup servers, which customers can separate from servers housed with other providers. DC6.cz offers rackhousing service, i.e., rental in independently lockable racks with capacity of 6U, 21U and 42U for placing customer technologies such as servers, switches, PBXs, routers, etc. The price of backup electricity is from 3.33 CZK per kWh. Rack housing prices then start at 3000 CZK monthly for 6U with the possibility of 5, 10 and 15% discount for prepayment for periods of 3, 6 and 12 months. 
Rackhousing 6U The service is delivered in independently lockable cabinets sized 1/7 of a rack. Two independently backed up A+B branches with a price of 3.33 CZK kWh, from 2x 1 Gbps connectivity without limitations, 24/7 access to the server room, 24/7 server monitoring, BGP or 4+ public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The service is ideal for start-up projects and owners of 2-4 rack servers. Rackhousing 21U The service is delivered in independently lockable cabinets sized 21U rack (800 x 960 x 1000 mm). Two independently backed up A+B branches with a price of 3.33 CZK kWh, from 2x 1 Gbps connectivity without limitations, 24/7 access to the server room, 24/7 server monitoring, BGP or 12+ public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The service is ideal for small and medium enterprises and owners of 10+ rack servers. Rackhousing 42U+ The service is delivered in independently lockable cabinets sized 42U (800 x 960 x 2000 mm). Two independently backed up A+B branches with a price of 3.33 CZK kWh, from 2x 1 Gbps connectivity without limitations, 24/7 access to the server room, 24/7 server monitoring, BGP or 24+ public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The service is ideal for larger internet projects and owners of 12+ rack servers. Another option is placing servers in racks in two or more locations in Prague for geographical services or cross-backup, etc. 
Part of DC6.cz is a coworking space that can also be used as a training room, meeting room, etc. Customers who are looking for administrators for their team can, by agreement, use Greenhousing administrators.
